000 TTAA00 KPIT 162230 SVRPIT PAC129-162330- BULLETIN BROADCAST IMMEDIATELY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PITTSBURGH PA 527 PM EST FRI FEB 16 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING UNTIL 630 PM FOR THIS COUNTY IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA...WESTMORELAND. AT 528 PM RADAR SHOWED A THUNDERSTORM IN EXTREME NORTHEAST ALLEGHENY COUNTY. IT IS MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH AND WILL ENTER WESTMORELAND COUNTY SOON. THIS STORM HAS HAIL AND HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IS ALSO IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM FOR ARMSTRONG COUNTY. A TORNADO WATCH CONTINUES TIL 9PM FOR MOST OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA AND THE NORTHERN PANHANDLE OF WEST VIRGINIA. PART OF THAT WATCH WILL PROBABLY BE DROPPED IN AN HOUR OR SO. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE IMMINENT OR IN PROGRESS. THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND..HAIL..HEAVY RAIN..AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. THIS STORM CAN PRODUCE A TORNADO. IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES..GO TO A SAFE PLACE IMMEDIATELY.
