000 TTAA00 KPIT 122320 RRA FFWPIT PAC021-130200- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PITTSBURGH PA 715 PM EDT WED SEP 12 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM EDT FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN WEST PENNSYLVANIA ...CAMBRIA COUNTY AT 715 PM WEATHER RADAR SHOWED NEARLY STATIONARY THUNDERSTORMS OVER CAMBRIA COUNTY. THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH THE HEAVIEST RAINHS WERE OVER NORTHERN CAMBRIA COUNTY NEAR CARROLTOWN AND EBENSBURG. RAINFALL OF BETWEEN .75 AND 1.00 INCH PER HOURS CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.

AT 545 PM WEATHER RADAR SHOWED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY DOWNPOURS OVER SOUTHERN SOMERSET AND BEDFORD COUNTIES OF PENNSYLVANIA. THE HEAVIEST RAINS WERE BETWEEN MYERSDALE AND HYNDMAN. HEAVY RAINS CAN CAUSE RAPID RISES OF STREAMS AND CREEKS IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. IF YOU LIVE ALONG...OR ARE CAMPING NEAR A STREAM OR CREEK...KEEP ALERT IF HEAVY RAINS PERSIST OVER YOUR AREA.
