TXZ019-020-170230 SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WICHITA FALLS TX 720 PM CST TUE JAN 16 1990 ...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH CONTINUES UNTIL 10 PM FOR FOARD... ...WILBARGER AND HARDEMAN COUNTIES. WICHITA AND THE COUNTIES TO THE SOUTH AND EAST ARE NO LONGER IN THE WATCH AREA. AT 720 PM NO PRECIPITATION WAS SHOWN IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA. A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS IN SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA FROM NEAR HOBART TO EAST OF GAGE. MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 15 MPH. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP IN OR NEAR THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THE WATCH SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
