THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY

   IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK
      NORTHEASTERN WESTCHESTER

RADAR SHOWED A POTENTIALLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST EAST OF
NEWBURGH NEW YORK. THE STORM IS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST ABOUT
35 MILES AN HOUR. THIS WOULD TAKE THE STORM TOWARDS BREWSTER NEW
YORK WITHIN THE NEXT HALF HOUR AND THEN INTO WESTERN FAIRFIELD
COUNTY CONNECTICUT.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
