THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES

   IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY
      WARREN...HUNTERDON...SOMERSET

AT 2 PM RADAR INDICATED A POTENTIALLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING
EASTSOUTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR ACROSS SOUTHERN WARREN
COUNTY. THIS STORM WILL MOVE INTO HUNTERDON AND SOMERSET SHORTLY.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...FIND SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR WARREN AND HUNTERDON
COUNTIES IN NEW JERSEY UNTIL 7 PM THIS EVENING.

RADAR IN NEW YORK CITY IS OUT OF COMISSION AT THIS TIME. BASED ON
SURROUNDING RADARS..SURFACE OBSERVATIONS AND SATELLITE DATA THERE WERE
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS OVER EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA.  THE HEAVIEST ACTIVITY
WAS JUST NORTH OF ALLENTOWN.  MOVEMENT WAS SOUTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR
WHICH WOULD BRING THIS STORM INTO SOUTHERN WARREN COUNTY BY 2 PM.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTROM WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
STORMS WITH DAMAGING WIND..HAIL AND DEADLY LIGHTENING.  IF CONDITIONS
BECOME THREATENING PLEASE SEEK SHELTER INDOORS.
