THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE
NOW UNTIL 10 AM EST TUESDAY MORNING FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY

IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK
WESTCHESTER

WESTCHESTER COUNTY POLICE REPORTED THAT THE BRONX AND SAW MILL RIVER
PARKWAYS REMAIN CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING FROM THEIR ADJACENT RIVERS.
THE SAW MILL RIVER PARKWAY WAS CLOSED IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN YONKERS
ALONE. ALSO THERE WERE ONE LANE CLOSURES ON THE HUTCHINSON RIVER PARKWAY.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADARS WERE STILL DETECTING SHOWERS OVER
PARTS OF NEW JERSEY AND THESE SHOWERS SHOULD MOVE NORTHEASTWARD
INTO WESTCHESTER COUNTY DURING THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT. IF YOU SEE
FLOOD WATERS APPROACHING YOU...PLEASE MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND QUICKLY.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK O+R DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS...IT CAN COST
YOU YOUR LIFE.

MOTORISTS WHO NORMALLY TAKE THE BRONX OR SAW MILL RIVER IN THE
MORNING COMMUTE WILL HAVE TO FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES TO REACH THEIR
DESTINATIONS.
