FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  830 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
 
   ...CENTRAL BEDFORD COUNTY
 
FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT ALONG THE DUCK
RIVER IN CENTRAL BEDFORD COUNTY...THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE CITY OF
SHELBYVILLE.
 
THE STAGE ON THE DUCK RIVER AT 7 AM EST WAS 723.2 FEET AND IS EXPECTED
TO CREST AT 735 TO 736 FEET LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
THIS FLOOD STAGE WILL EXCEED THE RECORD FLOOD STAGE OF 731.9 FEET SET
IN MARCH OF 1955.
 
THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AS THE WATER WILL RISE VERY RAPIDLY
AND MOVE VERY SWIFTLY.
 
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING ISe
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
