FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  930 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA
          ...NORTHERN BLUE EARTH...EASTERN BROWN...SOUTHERN NICOLLET
 
AT 7:20 PM STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINS IN THE
WARNING AREA. THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE COMMUNITIES OF NEW ULM...LAKE
CRYSTAL...MANKATO AND NICOLLET. VERY SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE
DUMPING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL AND WITH THE GROUND ALREADY SATURATED
FLASH FLOODING AND PONDING OF WATER IN LOW-LYING...SUCH AS UNDERPASSES
WILL QUICKLY OCCUR.
 
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
