000 TTAA00 KMOB 220839 SVRMOB ALC003-220930- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 237 AM CST THU FEB 22 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA ...BALDWIN COUNTY AT 235 AM A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED NORTH AND SOUTH ALONG THE WESTERN PORTION OF BALDWIN COUNTY ALABAMA. DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS LINE OF STORMS. THE LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. FAIRHOPE POLICE REPORTED 1/4 TO 1/2 INCH HAIL AND VERY STRONG WINDS AT 235 AM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. AS THIS LINE OF STORMS PASS WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 50 MILES AN HOUR AND 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE. BY 300 AM THE LINE OF STORMS SHOULD BE FROM NEAR CHATOM ALABAMA TO MOBILE TO FORT MORGAN.
