000 TTAA00 KMOB 282125 SVRMOB ALC097-282230- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 423 PM CDT THU JUN 28 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA ...NORTHERN MOBILE COUNTY AT 420 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR OVER THE MOBILE RIVER DELTA NEAR THE I-65 BRIDGE. THE STORM WAS MOVING TO THE WEST AT 10 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO MOBILE COUNTY NEAR CREOLA...AXIS...AND BUCKS DURING THE NEXT HALF HOUR. THIS STORM HAS ALREADY PRODUCED WIND DAMAGE IN BALDWIN COUNTY. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. THIS DAMAGE HAPPENED BETWEEN 345 AND 400 PM. ALSO...WE HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL REPORTS OF MARBLE SIZED AND SMALLER HAIL IN BAY MINETTE. ESTIMATED WINDS OF 55 TO 75 MPH HAVE ALSO BEEN REPORTED.
