SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA
          ...SOUTHERN DARE
 
AND ADJOINING PAMLICO SOUND SOUTH OF STUMPY POINT.
 
 
RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM OVER DARE COUNTY...5 MILES WEST OF STUMPYPOINT. THIS THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE HAIL...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...AND
HEAVY RAIN. THIS THUNDERSTORM RECENTLY PRODUCED MARBLE SIZED HAIL OVER
CURRITUCK COUNTY. MOVEMENT IS TO THE SOUTH AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.
MARINERS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR POSSIBLE WATERSPOUTS AS IT MOVES
OVER THE PAMLICO SOUND.
 
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN oEXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND
DEADLY LIGHTNING.  PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER...
PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
MARINERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR UNTIL THE THREATENING WEATHER PASSES
