A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING RAPIDLY SOUTHEAST THROUGH EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY THIS MORNING AT 430 AM. THE LEADING EDGE OF THIS LINE WAS GENERALLY FROM PORTSMOUTH OHIO THROUGH FLEMINGSBURG AND WINCHESTER THEN SOUTHWEST TO DANVILLE. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE OVER FLEMING COUNTY NEAR FLEMINGSBURG...45 MILES NORTHEAST OF LEXINGTON ...AND OVER SOUTHERN BOURBON COUNTY...24 MILES NORTHEAST OF LEXINGTON. THESE THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING WERE PRODUCING BRIEF PERIODS OF VERY HEAVY RAIN...FREQUENT AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS. SMALL HAIL MAY ALSO BE PRODUCED BY THESE THUNDERSTORMS. WITH THE HEAVY AND SUDDEN DOWNPOURS PRODUCED BY SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS THIS MORNING...YOU SHOULD BE VERY CAUTIOUS OF PONDING AND STANDING WATER ON AREA ROADS. POORLY DRAINING DITCHES AND SEWAGE SYSTEMS MAY ALSO CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OF AREA ROADS. ULLOM
