FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  830 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY
          ...ADAIR
 
ADAIR COUNTY EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER IN COLUMBIA REPORTED OVER 4
INCHES OF RAIN HAD FALLEN TODAY. SEVERAL ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY WERE
UNDER WATER INCLUDING GREEN HILL ROAD...OFF HIGHWAY 206 NEAR
COLUMBIA...AND PARTS OF HIGHWAY 206 BETWEEN COLUMBIA AND LIBERTY.
RUSSELL CREEK WAS REPORTED AT OR NEAR BANKFULL THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY.
LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR AT
LEAST THE NEXT 2 TO 3 HOURS.
 
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT ICN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY
THIS AFTERNOON.

MANY AREAS HAVE ALREADY RECIEVED FROM 1/2 TO 1 INCH OF RAIN THIS
MORNING AND MORE IS EXPECTED. SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSHOWERS WILL
REDEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON THROUGHOUT EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY.

REMEMBER A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLOODING IS POSSIBLE IN AND NEAR
THE WATCH AREA. EAST CENTRAL KENTUCKY RESIDENTS...PARTICULARLY THOSE
LIVING NEAR STREAMS OR RIVERS OR AREAS THAT ARE PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD
BE ALERT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGqHER GROUND IF A WARNING IS ISSUED
OR IF RISING WATER IS OBSERVED.
