000 TTAA00 KLCH 280144 SVRLCH LAC011-115-280245- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LAKE CHARLES LA 842 PM CDT FRI APR 27 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 945 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA ...BEAUREGARD PARISH...VERNON PARISH AT 840 PM...THE LAKE CHARLES WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A BAND OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE TEXAS/LOUISIANA BORDER FROM THE SOUTH END OF TOLEDO BEND RESERVOIR...TO 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DE RIDDER. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
