THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED IN NORTHWEST NEWTON COUNTY... NORTHWEST JASPER COUNTY AND SOUTH NACOGDOCHES COUNTY. MOST OF THE ACTIVITY WAS LOCATED NORTH OF A LINE EXTENDING FROM BON WEIR IN NEWTON COUNTY TO OAK SHADE IN POLK COUNTY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING WEST NEAR 15 MPH. THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHWEST AT AROUND 20 MPH. ONE STRONG STORM WAS DISIPATING NEAR WOODVILLE. ABOUT 330PM THIS STORPRODUCED WIND DAMAGE..BLOWING THE ROOF OFF AN ICEHOUSE.. IN JASPER NEATHE INTERSECTION OF US 96 AND 190. THE DEBRI CLOSED US 96 BUT THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY EXPECTED THE ROAD TO BE OPEN BY 430PM CDT. AN UNCONFIRMED REPORT OF TWIN FUNNEL CLOUDS WAS ALSO REPORTED TO THE DPS APPROXIMATELY THIS SAME TIME. A STRONG STORM WAS LOCATED JUST NORTHEAST zOF KIRBYVILLE. ELSEWHERE ONE DEVELOPING THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED JUST NORTH OF MAURICEVILLE NEAR THE JASPER COUNTY LINE. IF CURRENT MOTION CONTINUES THE STORM WILL MOVE TO NEAR BEAUMONT BY 5PM CDT. NNNN
