THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY
IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF NEBRASKA
EASTERN LINCOLN
AT 910 PM CDT RADAR DETECTED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF BRADY OR 15 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF NORTH PLATTE.
THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH...
LARGE HAIL GREATER THAN 3/4 INCH IN DIAMETER...DEADLY LIGHTNING
AND VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN FLOOD A vLOW LYING AREA QUICKLY.
PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. THE CITY
OF NORTH PLATTE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE WARNING.

NEZ006-007-012-016-017-170215- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 825 PM CDT THU AUG 16 1990 AT 820PM CDT...A LONE THUNDERSTORM HAD RAPIDLY DEVELOPED OVER FRONTIER COUNTY OF SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA. THE STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR MAYWOOD AND CURTIS OR ABOUT 30 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF NORTH PLATTE. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLY GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL. IT WAS MOVING EAST AT 15 MILES PER HOUR.E PERSONS IN ITS PATH SHOULD BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE SEVERE WEATHER. ABBAS
