THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF NEBRASKA
      EXTREME NORTHWEST CHERRY

AT 233 PM MDT...RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 15 MILES
WEST TO 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MERRIMAN NEBRASKA...OR 75 MILES
WEST OF VALENTINE NEBRASKA IN THE EXTREME NORTHWEST CORNER OF
CHERRY COUNTY OF NORTHCENTRAL NEBRASKA.  THE STORM WAS MOVING
NORTH AT 15 MPH AND SHOULD PASS JUST WEST OF THE TOWN OF MERRIMAN.

PREPARE FOR LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WIND...HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING BY TAKING COVER.  STAY AWAY FROM AREAS WHERE LOOSE ITEMS
CAN BECOME DANGEROUS FLYING DEBRIS.

THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A
PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
