EAST MISSISSIPPI UNTIL 4 AM...

...TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 39 REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
AND SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI UNTIL 1000 PM...

...TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 40 REMAINS IN EFFECT SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM
GREENVILLE TO OXFORD TO RIPLEY...

AT 925 PM...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM PONTOTOC
TO HOLLY BLUFF AND EXTENDED INTO NORTHEAST LOUISIANA. THE LINE WAS
MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH WHILE STORM MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 60 MPH.

A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS FROM INDEPENDENCE LOUISIANA TO MERIDIAN
WAS ALSO MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH. STORMS HAD INTENSIFIED OVER THE PAST
30 MINUTES AND WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 60 MPH. THE STRONGEST
STORMS WERE NEAR LAUREL..SANDY HOOKS AND ENON LOUISIANA.

SCATTERED THUNDERSRTORMS CONTINUED OVER SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE STATE MAY PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN..STRONG
WIND AND DANGEROUS HAIL. RESIDENTS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO CHANGING
WEATHER CONDITIONS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE SHELTER.

1040 PM CST THU FEB 15 1990

...TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 42 REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTH
EAST MISSISSIPPI UNTIL 4 AM...

...TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 40 REMAINS IN EFFECT SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM
GREENVILLE TO OXFORD TO RIPLEY UNTIL MIDNIGHT...

AT 1025 PM...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM PURVIS TO
SHUBUTA TO NEAR MERIDIAN. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 60 MPH
AND WERE ASSOCIATED WITH DAMAGING WIND..LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAIN. A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR PURVIS HAD RESULTED IN DOWNED TREES IN THE AREA.
LINE MOVEMENT WAS NEAR 10 MPH.

THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED OVER NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI AND WAS
MOVING TO THE EAST AT 10 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE DECREASING IN
NUMBER AND INTENSITY AND WERE LOCATED FROM NEAR HOLLY BLUFF TO TUPELO.
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO OCCURRING OVER
SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI FROM VICKSBURG TO JACKSON TO COLUMBIA AND
EXTENDED INTO EASTERN LOUISIANA.
