    NORTH MISSISSIPPI...

AT 125 PM CDT...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE INCREASING OVER NORTH
MISSISSIPPI IN A 20 MILE WIDE BAND FROM TUPELO TO GREENVILLE. THE
STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN A NARROW LINE FROM WATER VALLEY TO NEAR
CLEVELAND MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. THESE STORMS WILL LIKELY
CONTAIN GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES AND BRIEF HEAVY RAIN IN
THE NEXT HOUR AS THEY MOVE ACROSS YALOBUSHA...GRENADA...TALLAHATCHI"E...
CALHOUN...LEFLORE...AND SUNFLOWER COUNTIES.

OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE SCATTERED FROM COLUMBUS TO
KOSCIUSKO AND FROM COLUMBIA TO PICAYUNE IN EAST MISSISSIPPI. THEY
WERE ALSO MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.

 415 PM CDT FRI JUN 22 1990

 A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM THIS EVENING FOR
PARTS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI.

AT 415 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY
RAIN EXTENDING ACROSS NORTH MISSISSIPPI FROM NEAR ROLLING FORK TO NEAR
LOUISVILLE. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
A THUNDERSTORM NEAR DURANT WAS RAPIDLY INCREASING IN STRENGTH AND IS
EXPECTED TO MOVE NEAR KOSIUSKO IN THE NEXT 45 MINUTES.
GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN...AND SMALL HAIL
ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE THUNDERSTORMS.
