NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS
325 PM CDT SUN MAY 20 1990

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH UNTIL 9 PM FOR MUCH OF MISSISSIPPI...

AT 325 PM...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS BEGINNING TO MOVE INTO
NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI JUST SOUTH OF GREENVILLE.  THIS LINE EXTENDS
SOUTHWESTWARD INTO CENTRAL LOUISIANA...AND IS MOVING SLOWLY TOWARD
THE EAST.

THE STRONGEST STORMS IN THE LINE ARE IN WASHINGTON COUNTY NEAR
HOLLANDALE.  GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED JUST WEST OF THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER WHEN THESE STORMS PASSED THROUGH SOUTHEASTERN
ARKANSAS...SO PEOPLE JUST SOUTH OF GREENVILLE SHOULD BE PREPARED
TO MOVE TO A SAFE PLACE IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES.

OTHER SHOWERS AND WEAKER THUNDERSTORMS ARE SCATTERED OVER WEST AND
EXTREME EAST MISSISSIPPI.
