THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EVANSVILLE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  630 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS
          ...RICHLAND...NORTHEASTERN WAYNE
 
AT 603 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST NORTH OF
FAIRFIELD ILLINOIS. A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED BY A SEVERE WEATHER
SPOTTER WITH THIS STORM. IT WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH. IT WILL
MOVE TO NEAR OLNEY ILLINOIS BY 620 PM CDT.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 58
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
