INZ005-007-008-009-012-040300- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS IN 915 PM EST WED OCT 3 1990 A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS PRODUCING STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND TORRENTIAL RAIN AS IT MOVED RAPIDLY EAST THROUGH INDIANA THIS EVENING. AT 905 PM EST CLINTON COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT REPORTED THAT TREES WERE KNOCKED DOWN BY GUSTY WINDS IN FRANKFORT...40 MILES NORTHWEST OF INDIANAPOLIS. STATE POLICE REPORTED A FEW LIMBS DOWN AT ROACHDALE AND NORTH SALEM...30 MILES WEST OF INDIANAPOLIS. AT 910 PM THE LINE OF STORMS WAS FROM KOKOMO TO DANVILLE TO SULLIVAN. THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 40 TO 50 MPH AND WILL MOVE THROUGH TIPTON...NOBLESVILLE...INDIANAPOLIS...MOORSEVILLE AND SPENCER BETWEEN 915 AND 10 PM. PEOPLE IN CENTRAL INDIANA SHOULD STAY INDOORS AWAY FROM WINDOWS TIL THE STORMS PASS. GUSTY WINDS MAY DOWN TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES. HEAVY RAIN WILL BRIEFLY DROP VISIBILITY TO NEAR ZERO AND CAUSE PONDIN}G OF WATER ON ROADS. ALLSOPP
