THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1200 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE CENTRAL PART OF ILLINOIS
      SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY

AT 10.50PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS PASSING THROUGH SOUTHERN
MACOUPIN COUNTY INTO SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY. WINDS CAUSED
TELEPHONE AND POLES TO FALL IN THE BRIGHTEN AND SHIPMAN AREAS OF
SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY AND SMALL HAIL WAS REPORTED IN         E
GILLESPIE.
THE STORMS WERE MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT AROUND 20 MPH. CITIES IN
THE PATH OF THE STORM INCLUDED LITCHFIELD...HILLSBORO AND MOUNT
OLIVE IN SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY.

IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA THREATENED BY THE STORM..GO TO A REINFORCED
SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY
RAIN AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
