35 MILES AN HOUR.
PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND

THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY PRECIPITATION WERE LINING UP NORTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST THROUGH THE CENTRAL CAROLINAS. THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR AND SHOWED SIGNS OF SMALL HAIL. SOME OF THE HEAVIER STORMS MAY MOVE INTO ROBESON...BLADEN AND SAMPSON COUNTIES IN THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. PERSONS OVER THE INTERIOR COUNTIES OF SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR HAIL AND STRONG GUS TY WINDS WITH THESE STORMS AROUND 9 OCLOCK OR SO. THE STORMS OVER NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA CONTINUED TO WEAKEN AND FLATTEN OUT INTO GENERAL RAIN AS THEY MOVED EAST TOWARD THE ATLANTIC COAST.
