AT 810 THIS EVENING...DIME SIZED HAIL WAS REPORTED OVER SOUTHERN
PITT COUNTY NEAR THE CRAVEN AND BEAUFORT COUNTY BORDERS. RADAR
SHOWED STRENGTHENING THUNDERSTORMS IN A LINE MOVING SOUTHEAST ABOUT
20 MILES AN HOUR TOWARD CRAVEN AND BEAUFORT COUNTIES.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OF 60 MPH TO OVER 100
MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY
DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES...SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN
INJURE ANYONE CAUGHT OUTSIDE.
