AT 815 PM EDT RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR CLINTON IN
SAMPSON COUNTY NORTH CAROLINA MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.
 
 
PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND
DAMAGING WINDS. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN OCCUR
WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REAC,H SPEEDS OF 60 MPH TO OVER 100
MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY
DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES...SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN

IN NORTH CAROLINA. THE HAIL BEGAN AROUND 7 PM EDT 1 1/2 INCHES IN
DIAMETER AND DECREASED TO PEA SIZE BY 736 PM. HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG
WINDS ALSO OCCURRED BETWEEN 7 PM AND 736 PM EDT.
