THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 745 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
      PENDER...WESTERN DUPLIN

AT 645 PM EDT THE WILMINGTON RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
IN SOUTHERN SAMPSON COUNTY BETWEEN MAGNOLIA AND GARLAND. THIS
STORM IS MOVING SOUTHEAST AROUND 35 MPH INTO SOUTHERN DUPLIN AND
THEN PENDER COUNTY.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...FIND SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.

CAROLINA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE CONTINUING TO INTENSIFY AND MAY
APPROACH SEVERE LIMITS AS THEY MOVE INTO NORTHERN HERTFORD AND GATES
COUNTIES IN NORTH CAROLINA DURING THE NEXT HOUR.

PEOPLE IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS
