AT 910 PM EDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM SHOWN BY RADAR WAS LOCATED JUST
WEST OF MAXTON IN WESTERN ROBESON COUNTY. THIS STORM HAS A PAST
HISTORY OF LARGE HAIL AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS. THE STORM WAS MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.
 
 
 
PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND
DAMAGING WINDS. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN OCCUR
WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OF 60 MPH TO OVER 100
MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY
DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES...SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN
