THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF KANSAS
      ALLEN

AT 653 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS OVER MUCH OF ALLEN COUNTY.
A TORNADO BRIEFLY TOUCHED DOWN BETWEEN HUMBOLT AND IOLA AT 620 PM..
GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL HAS BEEN FALLING FROM THIS STORM.

THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR ALLEN
COUNTY ISSUED EARLIER.

 REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND DO OCCASIONALLY DO
PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. BE ON THE
LOOKOUT.

AT 545 PM...SPOTTERS FROM IOLA IN ALLEN COUNTY REPORTED VERY HEAVY
RAIN FROM THE THUNDERSTORM WHICH WAS ON THE WOODSON-ALLEN COUNTY
LINE JUST SOUTHWEST OF IOLA. THE THUNDERSTORM HAS CONTINUED TO
DEVELOP...HOWEVER NO SEVERE WEATHER HAS YET BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH
THE STORM.

THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH AND SHOULD
MOVE INTO IOLA BY 600 PM CDT.
