TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  330 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS

   ...CENTRAL GALVESTON COUNTY...

THE GALVESTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT HAS REPORTED A FUNNEL CLOUD
ON HIGHWAY 517 WEST OF INTERSTATE 45 NEAR DICKENSON.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND M6OBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.

AT 150 PM CDT..RADAR INDICATED SEVERAL STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING
ACROSS WEST BAY TO GALVESTON ISLAND.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING STEADILY SOUTHEAST AND WILL PASS
OVER GALVESTON ISLAND TO THE COASTAL WATERS DURING THE NEXT HOUR.

PERSONS ON GALVESTON BEACHES SHOULD BE ALERT TO THREATENING WEATHER
AND SHOULD LEAVE THE WATER IMMEDIATELY IF THUNDER IS HEARD OR IF
LIGHTNING IS SEEN.

BOATERS ON THE COASTAL WATERS SHOULD CHECK THE WEATHER CAREFULLY
BEFORE NAVIGATING TOO FAR OFFSHORE.
