THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CONCORD HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN NORTHWEST NEW HAMPSHIRE
          ...GRAFTON
 
THE GRAFTON SHERIFF/S OFFICE HAS REPORTED A SMALL BRIDGE ALONG THE
BAKER RIVER NEAR THE TOWN OF WENTWORTH WAS WASHED OUT LATE THIS
AFTERNOON. IT WAS AN ACCESS TO A CAMPGROUND IN THE AREA AND WAS WASHED
OUT DUE TO WATER BEING BACKED UP BEHIND THE BRIDGE. ALSO...THE
PLYMOUTH FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORTED A BROOK WAS FLOWING ACROSS PLEASANT
STREET IN THE TOWN OF BRISTOL.
 
RAIN...HEAVY AT TIMES...CAN BE EXPECTED IN EASTERN GRAFTON COUNTY
DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. THIS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE ADDITIONAL
FLOODING PROBLEMS AS RIVERS CONTINUE TO RISE.
 
A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
