THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL PART OF WISCONSIN
      SOUTHEAST DANE...NORTHWEST ROCK

AT 340 PM CST RADAR DETECTED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ABOUT 20 MILES
SE OF MADISON MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. ANOTHER INTENSE
THUNDERSTORM IS LOCATED IN SOUTHWEST ROCK COUNTY EAST OF
BRODHEAD MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE A
HISTORY OF GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL WHICH COVERED THE GROUND 5 MILES
SOUTH OF MONROE IN GREEN COUNTY.

WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND NEAR WINDOWS.  DO NOT USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS
SHOULD AVOID LOW WATER CROSSINGS.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...FIND SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE SHTORM HAS PASSED.
