THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      LOGAN...NORTHERN SCOTT

AT 605 PM CDT..HIGHWAY PATROL REPORTED AT TORNADO ON THE
GROUND NORTHWEST OF SCOTT CEITY NORTH  HIGHWAY K 96. THE
TORNADO WAS MOVING NORTH.

THIS TORNADO WAS ON THE GROUND AND CAUSING DAMAGE. ALL PERSONS NEAR
THIS DANGEROUS STORM SHOULD TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY IN A REINFORCED
SHELTER.

NO SEVERE WEATHER WAS REPORTED OVER NORTHWEST OR WESTCENTRAL KANSAS AT
430PM CDT.  HOWEVER...RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING 25 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF GOODLAND NEAR WINONA INm NORTHWEST LOGAN COUNTY.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH..AND MAY PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY
RAINS AND GUSTY WINDS.

OF WESTERN KANSAS...

AT 535 PM CDT..RADAR INDICATED A CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
FROM 40 MILES NORTHEAST OF GOODLAND TO 35 MILES SOUTHEAST OF GOODLAND.
THE STORMS EXTENDED FROM NORTHERN LOGAN COUNTY NORTH THRU THOMAS COUNTY
INTO SOUTHWEST RAWLINS COUNTY AND WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

A VERY STRONG STORM WAS INDICATED OVER SOUTHWEST RAWLINS COUNTY THAT WILL
LIKELY PRODUCE HAIL..STRONG WINDS AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS. PERSONS IN
RAWLINS COUNTY SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS STORM AND READY TO TAKE NECESSARY
PRECAUTIONS.
