WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY
IN THE CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
RUSH
AT 305PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 30 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF HAYS JUST SOUTH OF BROWNELL MOVING SOUTHEAST
40 MPH INTO RUSH COUNTY. HAIL 1 INCH WAS REPORTED 8 MILES
NORTH OF NESS CITY WITH THIS STORM.
A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT. THIS WARNING IS FOR DAMAGING WINDS AND
LARGE HAIL OF A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. TORNADOS REMAIN POSSIBLE FROM
THIS AND OTH,ER STORMS. GO IMMEDIATELY TO A REINFORCED SHELTER.

THE MOST INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF NORTON NEAR LENORA TO 35 MILES NORTHEAST OF SCOTT CITY NEAR GOVE. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH AND WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTON...GRAHAM...TREGO AND GOVE COUNTIES UNTIL 215 PM CDT. BRIEF HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY WINDS TO 40 MPH ALONG WITH SMALL HAIL WILL OCCUR NEAR THE STR'ONGER THUNDERSTORMS.
