THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  830 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...HOOD COUNTY...JOHNSON COUNTY
 
AT 625 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED...AND SPOTTERS CONFIRMED A LINE OF
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS JOHNSON AND HOOD COUNTIES. THESE STORMS
HAVE PRODUCED NICKEL SIZE HAIL AND 60 MPH WINDS JUST SOUTHEAST OF
GRANBURY AT ABOUT 610 PM.
 
THESE STORMS ARE ALSO PRODUCING EXTREMELY HEAVY RAINS AND ARE MOVING
VERY SLOWLY. REPORTS OF STREET FLOODING HAVE BEEN RECEIVED DURING THE
PAST TEN MINUTES AROUND THE GRANBURY AREA.  SINCE THESE STORMS HAVE
SLOWED THEIR SOUTHWARD MOVEMENT...PROBLEMS WITH FLOODING CAN BE
EXPECTED TO INCREASE DURING THE NEXT HOUR.
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.
