THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF SOUTH DAKOTA
      NORTHERN UNION

AT 535PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR BERESFORD SOUTH
DAKOTA OR 40 MILES NORTHWEST OF SIOUX CITY. THE STORM WAS MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.

REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 60 MPH...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM
TAKE SHELTER IN A REINFORCED BUILDING IMMEDIATELY.

CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA AND HAD DEVELOPED IN SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA...
SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST IOWA.

THIS PRECIPITATION WAS MOSTLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM NEAR MITCHELL TO 45
MILES EAST OF SIOUX FALLS NEAR WORTHINGTON.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE
CAPABLE OF (PRODUCING HEAVY RAINS AND LARGE HAIL.

MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR.
