...STRONG THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL OVER NORTHERN ARIZONA AGAIN TODAY...

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEGUN OVER THE MOGOLIAN RIM THIS
MORNING. THUNDERSTORMS  AND SHOWERS HAVE BEEN OBSERVED 25 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF WINSLOW AND MOVING NORTHEAST ABOUT 10 MPH. THE POTENTIAL
FOR STRONG SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS TODAY IS AGAIN VERY HIGH OVER
ALL OF NORTHEAST ARIZONA. THIS SEEMS TO BE A POSSIBLE REPEAT
OF YESTERDAYS THUNDERSTORMS WHICH CAUSED FLASH FLOODING IN
NORTHEAST ARIZONA. ANYONE OUT AND ABOUT TODAY SHOULD KEEP AWARE OF
THE WEATHER. DRY WASHES..ARROYOS..UNBRIGED RIVER CROSSINGS CAN BECOME
FLOODED WITH LITTLE OR NO WARNING. LIGHTNING CAN KILL...IF LIGHTNING
IS SEEN IN YOUR AREA THE SAFEST PLACE IS IN A BUILDING OR AUTOMOBILE.
EARTHEN WATER TANKS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO FAIL..RELEASING LARGE AMOUNTS
OF WATER IN A MOMENT. DIRT ROADS AL"READY WET AND MUDDY FROM
YESTERDAYS RAINS CAN EASILY BECOME UNPASSABLE WITH LOWER LEVELS
BECOMING FLOODED. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST TO CONTINUE
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
