000 TTAA00 KMCN 221214 SVRMCN GAC009-009-221315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MACON GA 815 AM EDT WED AUG 22 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MACON GA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 915 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN CENTRAL GEORGIA ...DODGE COUNTY...WILCOX COUNTY AT 815 AM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 7 MILES SOUTH OF ROCHELLE IN WILCOX COUNTY THAT WAS MOVING NORTHEAST 10 MILES AN HOUR. IT WAS PRODUCING STRONG GUSTY WIND AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. IT COULD PRODUCE WIND GUSTS OVER 55 MILES AN HOUR AND TORRENTIAL RAIN THAT WOULD CAUSE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS AS THE STORM MOVES SLOWLY BY. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUI1CKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
