IN EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA ...SCREVEN COUNTY AT 540 PM RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN SCREVEN COUNTY JUST WEST OF THE CITY OF SYLVANIA GEORGIA MOVING EAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OYF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.

THIS STORM WAS 10 MILES NORTHWEST OF LUMPKIN MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO IN EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA NORTHWEST AND SOUTHWEST OF HURTSBORO. PERSONS IN THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF RUSSELL COUNTY ALABAMA AND IN STEWART..QUITMAN..AND RANDOLPH COUNTIES OF GEORGIA SHOULD BE READY FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE PROTECTIVE ACTION WHEN THESE STORMS COME NEAR.
