THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY IN

SOUTHCENTRAL TEXAS...VAL VERDE.

A RAINFALL OBSERVER REPORTED THAT MORE WATER WAS DRAINING FROM SUTTON
COUNTY INTO NORTHERN VAL VERDE...4 TO 5 FEET OF WATER WAS OVER HIGHWAY
189 AT THE COUNTY LINE. ALL LOW WATER CROSSINGS ON HIGHWAY 189 NORTH
OF JUNO AND HIGHWAY 163 SOUTH OF JUNO ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING
DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. PORTIONS OF HIGHWAY 189 AND 163 REMAIN
CLOSED AND LITTLE CHANGE IS EXPECTED THROUGH TODAY.

REMEMBER...MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CROSS BRIDGES..DIPS..OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. NEVER
TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM..EVEN A SMALL ONE..ON FOOT. TO ESCAPE
