THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 PM  EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES

    IN NORTH CENTRAL MICHIGAN
        GLADWIN COUNTY

AT 125 PM EDT...RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER CENTRAL 
GLADWIN COUNTY NEAR THE CITY OF GLADWIN. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST
AT ABOUT 30 MILES AN HOUR AND SHOULD BE EAST OF GLADWIN BY 200 PM.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD GET INTO A REINFORCED SHELTER AND
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN AND
DANGEROUS LIGHTNI!NG.

  ...THUNDERSTORMS NEAR NORTHERN ARENAC COUNTY...

AT 1155 AM EDT...RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN
AND DANGEROUS LIGHTING AND POSSIBLY SMALL HAIL WERE BUILDING OVER
THE NORTH BORDER OF ARENAC COUNTY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS EXTEND FROM
MANISTEE TO TAWAS CITY.  MOVEMENT WAS WEST TO EAST AT 35 TO 40 MPH.

PERSONS IN NORTHERN ARENAC COUNTY SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE
SHELTER IF THREATENING WEATHER DEVELOPS.

AT 1255 AM EDT...RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN
AND DANGEROUS LIGHTING AND POSSIBLY LARGE HAIL WERE LOCATED IN
ARENAC COUNTY. AT 1200 PM HALF INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED AT STERLING
40 MILE NORTH OF SAGINAW MI.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS SLOWLY MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 35 TO 40 MPH.

PERSONS IN NORTHERN ARENAC COUNTY SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE
SHELTER IF THREATENING WEATHER DEVELOPS.
