SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS
...SOUTHERN CLARK
AT 420 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 50 MILES SOUTH OF DODGE CITY
AND WAS MOVING NORTHEAST INTO SOUTHERN CLARK COUNTY. THE STORM WILL
PASS TO THE EAST OF ENGLEWOOD AT 425 PM AND BE JUST SOUTH OF ASHLAND
AT 500 PM.
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND
DEADLY LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER...

ONE AREA OF STRONG STORMS WAS FROM 30 TO 45 MILES EAST OF DODGE CITY BETWEEN MUKLINVILLE AND GREENSBURG. ANOTHER WAS FROM 30 TO 40 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DODGE CITY OVER FOWLER AND MEADE. LITTLE MOVEMENT HAS BEEN INDICATED. THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAINS. CJ
