FLASH FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED ALONG HIGHWAY 30 WEST OF KEMMERER
WYOMING IN THE SOUTHERN END OF LINCOLN COUNTY WYOMING. WATER UP
TO 18 INCHES DEEP HAS BEEN REPORTED FLOWING OVER THE HIGHWAY.
RADAR SHOWED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM LOCATED BETWEEN 10 TO 15 MILES
SOUTH OF KEMMERER WYOMING MOVING NORTH NORTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN
HOUR.

WYZ013-170030- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHEYENNE WY 520 PM MDT THU AUG 16 1990 ...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF WYOMING... THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED INTO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF WYOMING. RADAR AND LIGHTNING STRIKE DETECTORS INCICATED THAT ONE OF THESE THUNDRRSTORMS LOCATED 50 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF ROCK SPRINGS WAS RATHER STRONG. THE STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTH NORTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR. DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF THIS STORM...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFAL SHOULD BE EXPECT IN THE PATH IN THIS STORM. NUMEROUS LIGHTNING STRIKES HAVE BEEN DETECTED WITH THIS STORM. PEOPLE OF SOUTHWEST WYOMING SHOULD BE ALERT TO POSSIBLE STRONG THUNDRSTORMS IN THEIR AREA OF THE STATE UNTIL AROUND SUNSET THIS EVENING.
