PAZ009-251900- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HARRISBURG PA. 1125 AM EDT WED APR 25 1990 AT 1110 AM EDT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN HARRISBURG WAS SHOWING SCATTERED RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO THE LOWER SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. THE RADAR SHOWED SCATTERED RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER MUCH OF THE EASTERN HALF OF THE STATE. AT 1110 AM EDT THE RADAR SHOWED THE HEAVIEST RAINS IN CENTRAL SNYDER COUNTY. THESE SHOWERS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR. AT THIS RATE THE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD MOVE INTO THE NORTH PORTION OF THE LOWER SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY WITHIN THE NEXT THIRTY MINUTES. BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS...GUSTY WINDS AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING COULD ACCOMPANY THESE STORMS. THE THUNDERSTORMS...HOWEVER...ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BECOME SEVERE. WSO HAR RBH
