THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 115 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE NORTHWEST PART OF PENNSYLVANIA
      ERIE...WARREN

AT MIDNIGHT THE ERIE WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A CLUSTER OF POSSIBLE
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS  MOVING ACROSS THE WATERS OF LAKE ERIE AND
SHOULD ARRIVE ONSHORE WITHIN 1 HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE
MOVING RAPIDLY SOUTHEAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR.

WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND NEAR WINDOWS.  DO NOT USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES.  MOTORISTS SHOULD AVOID LOW WATER CROSSINGS.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...FIND SHELTER IN A NEARBY REINFORCED
BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.

SMALL BOATERS ON LAKE ERIE AND PREQUE ISLE BAY SHOULD SEEK SAFE
HARBOR IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES.
