THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 845 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK
      ONONDAGA...OSWEGO

AT 845 PM...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THAT SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS COVERED MUCH OF OSWEGO AND ONONDAGA COUNTIES.
REPORTS FROM SPOTTERS INDICATE THAT WINDS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH
ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THESE STORMS.  FREQUENT LIGHTENING AND HAIL
ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.

A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER...
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARE SPEEDING TOWARD
NORTHEAST NEW YORK AND NORTHWEST VERMONT.

AT 7 PM A GROUP OF THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING RAPIDLY EAST FROM EXTREME
NORTHWEST NEW YORK STATE. THESE STORMS WILL CONTAIN VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS
...STRONG GUSTY WIND AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO nFRANKLIN AND ESSEX COUNTIES OF NEW YORK BY
730 PM AND INTO CLINTON COUNTY NEW YORK BETWEEN 745 AND 8 PM.

IF STROMS APPROACH YOU...SEEK SHELTER INDOORS AND REMAIN THERE UNTIL THE
