FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN NORTHEAST NEW YORK
          ...CLINTON
 
STATE AND COUNTY OFFICIALS REPORT THAT AN ICE JAM NEAR JAY NEW YORK
BROKE EARLIER TODAY. THE BREAKING ICE JAM HAS ALLOWED 2 TO 3 FEET OF
WATER AND ICE TO TRAVEL DOWNSTREAM TOWARDS AU SABLE FORKS. WHEN THIS
WATER AND ICE REACHES ANOTHER ICE JAM ALREADY IN PLACE IN THE VILLAGE...FLOODING WILL RESULT. IF YOU LIVE IN AN AREA PRONE TO FLOODING
FROM ICE JAMS...YOU SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
