FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  530 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT
 
   ...NEW LONDON COUNTY
 
RAINFALL REPORTS OF 4 TO 5 INCHES SINCE 8 PM COMBINED WITH A BAND OF
HEAVY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHING FROM BRANFORD NORTHEAST TO
DANIELSON HAS PRODUCED SOME FLOODING.  STATE POLICE IN COLCHESTER
REPORT SEVERAL ROADS FLOODED AND SMALL STREAMS OVERFLOWING THEIR BANKS
IN COLCHESTER AND LEBANON.  THIS BAND OF HEAVY RAIN SHOULD CONTINUE
FOR AT LEAST TWO HOURS WITH THE AXIS OF THE HEAVY RAIN MOVING TO THE
SOUTHEAST.
 
 
A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
