A TORNADO WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR NORTHEAST COLORADO TO THE NORTH OF THE PALMER DIVIDE...AND EAST OF THE FRONT RANGE UNTIL 9PM TONIGHT. RESIDENTS OF NORTHEAST COLORADO SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...AND TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE. DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR AT 230 PM SHOWED A WINDSHIFT LINE MOVING WEST TOWARDS DENVER...AND SHOULD PASS ACROSS EASTERN DENVER BETWEEN 3PM AND 330 PM. A TORNADO WATCH CONTINUES UNTIL 9PM FOR MOST OF NORTHEAST COLORADO. AS OF 350PM THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED 5 TO 10 MILES NORTHEAST OF BYERS IN EASTERN ADAMS COUNTY...ABOUT 45 MILES EAST OF DENVER. THESE STORMS WERE SLOWLY MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT 25 MILES PER HOUR. OTHER STORMS WERE DEVELOPING IN THE SAME AREA. PEOPLE NEAR BYERS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE INDOORS IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS IN THE TORNADO WATCH AREA FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
