THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HUNTSVILLE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM CDT
 
 
IN NORTH ALABAMA
 
   ...MORGAN COUNTY
 
AT 9 PM HUNTSVILLE RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER
THE CITY OF DECATUR. MARBLE SIZE HAIL AND POSSIBLE DAMAGING WINDS WERE
OCCURING AT THAT TIME. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35
MPH.
OTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO OCCURING IN JACKSON COUNTY NEAR
SCOTSBORO AND IN MARSHALL COUNTY NEAR GUNTERSVILLE.
 
A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS ALSO OCCURING IN SOUTHERN MADISON COUNTY.
 
THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 MPH.
 
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF NORTH
ALABAMA UNTIL 2 AM CDT.
 
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...jDESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
